The Kitchen Mill was not designed to grind spices, sugar, high oil content seeds (sunflower, sesame, flax, etc..) nuts, coffee, dried fruits and the like. Makes flour from fine to coarse. The coarsest setting makes flour about as coarse as cornmeal. It does not do cracked grains.<p>
